Videos from the Liberty Hall Theatre sessions at the Irish Labour History Society’s 50th Anniversary ‘Visions of Labour and Class in Ireland&Europe’ Conference held in September 2023 are now available to view on the Society YouTube channel here:

Among the topics discussed in the sessions available to view online are:

  • the admission of the new Irish State to the International Labour Organisation and League of Nations in September 2023 with Francis Devine, Patricia O’Donovan and Gerry Finnegan
  • ‘Labour, class and labour history since 1980’ keynote address by Marcel van Der Linden
  • the workers’ republic as an inspiration for the revolutionary generation by Brian Hanley
  • towards a labour history of the great Famine by John Cunningham
  • a panel discussion on labour history in the 21st century
