HISTORIC MINUTE BOOK FROM 1921-23 PERIOD NOW ONLINE
The Irish Labour History Society is delighted to announce that the donated minute book of the Executive and Resident Committee of the Irish Labour Party and Trade Union Congress (August 1921 to September 1923 period) is now available to view on our website following conservation and digitisation work funded by the Heritage Council under the Community Heritage Grants Scheme 2023.
It can be viewed on the Digital Collection section of our website, where a selection of other rare and unique items from the Society’s collections have been added including a similar minute book that covers the 1917-21 period. Donated to the Society in the latter half of 2022, this minute book is of national historical significance covering the period of the Truce, Anglo-Irish Treaty and the Civil War.
The Irish Labour History Society would like to acknowledge the support of the Heritage Council in funding the necessary conservation work and subsequent digitisation of this unique item under the Community Heritage Grants Scheme 2023.
