Heritage Council Community Heritage Grants Scheme 2025

The Irish Labour History Society is pleased to announce that the Society has received an allocation of funding from the Heritage Council under their Community Heritage Grants Scheme 2025. This grant is allocated towards the long-term conservation of a unique Irish Women Workers Union uniform dating from the 1920s that is part of the Irish Labour History Society collections. It will also facilitate making the banner accessible to the wider public.

The Society will be organising an event during Heritage Week 2025 (16th to 24th August) to highlight the Irish Women Workers Union collections at our premises in Beggars Bush, Dublin. Below is an image of one side of the banner.
